Traditions
Here at St. Joseph Regional Elementary School we have many traditions including:
The Halloween Parade - Students come to school dressed in the favorite costume. The parade is held on the playground where family and friends can enjoy the parade.
Trunk or Treat - Families decorate their cars and bring them to the school playgroud. The students can go from car to car Trunk or Treating.
Thanksgiving Luncheon - Parents and volunteers prepare a traditional Thanksgving meal at the school for the studentsto eat at lunch.
Angel Tree Ligthing - Held in the school's front lawn, the evergreens along the front of the school are lit. Donations are made for angels for the students to hang to remeber the angels in their lives.
St. Joseph's Day Luncheon - Parents and volunteers prepare a traditional St. Joseph's Day meal at the school for the students to eat at lunch.
Parent Appreciation Night - The students show their appreciation to their parents for their Catholic education with special performances, followed by dinner.
May Crowning - A mass to honor the Virgin Mary. Students who receive communion in other parishes are celebrated. This is followed by a get together at the school.
Walk-A-Thon - The students collect donations to support a specific school need. Then they lace up their sneakers and walk around the school playground.
7th & 8th Grade Luncheon - The 7th grade class prepares a lunch for the 8th grade class as a final send off.
