Curriculum

St. Joseph Regional Elementary School's academic curriculum, based on the Common Core Standards, is challenging and motivates our students to achieve their potential.  Departmental and ability classes are done at various levels to ensure quality learning and success.  Reading and Math groups allow for more personal assistance.  Science classes for example, developmentally focus on various units in Life, Plants, Space, Earth and Animals.  Besides academic enrichment within the subject areas, the students also have weekly instruction in World Language (Spanish), Music, Computer Technology, Art, and Physical Education.  Upper grades are departmentalized to allow for more in depth approaches to the subject areas as well as to prepare for high school scheduling.  Our library provides additional resources to the teachers and students.
