Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

Does my child have to be Catholic to attend St. Joseph Regional Elementary School?

We welcome students of all faiths. Non-Catholic families who enroll their children in our school appreciate the Catholic faith, values, and prayer taught at the school.  They value the atmosphere it provides for their children and are impressed in how it strengthens them spiritually.

Does St. Joseph Regional Elementary School offer childcare?

Yes, we offer afterschool care until 5:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. The After Care program, coordinated by school personnel, consists of homework assistance, play time, and snacks.

What if my child is absent or tardy?

Absences and tardiness disrupt learning. We encourage you to schedule doctor, dentist, and other appointments during off-school hours. When a student is going to be absent, the parent must call the Office by 8:30 a.m.  When making this phone call, the parent should request that the teacher prepare work/assignment for the absent child.   These materials would then be available at the end of the day in the Office.

What is the dress code at St. Joseph Regional Elementary School?

We believe that our students’ appearance is an important part of the learning environment, and that is why our students wear uniforms. Uniforms can be purchased at Flynn and O’hara and gym uniforms are also on sale at the school store.
