About Me
I attended Rowan University where I received my bachelors in both Elementary Education and English. My passion for teaching allows me to do something I am truly excited about. The 2017-2018 school year will be the start of my 7th year at St. Joe’s. During the summer, I teach religion for the Faith Formation summer intensive program in addition to the vacation bible school music and dance program in my parish.
Teaching Style/Philosophy/Interesting Things I Do In the Classroom
I believe that each child needs a secure, caring, respectful environment in order to thrive and grow. It is important that my students use their many gifts and talents to demonstrate their understanding. Learning is cooperative and differentiation is important as a way for students to show off their best work in the best way for them. Engaging lessons, small group work, and collaboration encourage academic growth and achievement. I believe that teaching allows you to learn as much from your students as they do from you.
What I Like Most About St. Joseph Regional School
I love the family atmosphere at St. Joe. Each member of the faculty is supportive and dedicated to providing for each of our students academic, social, and emotional needs. St. Joe has amazing volunteers and great parent involvement. Our small class sizes provide the opportunity to know each of our students on an individual basis.
Why I Would Recommend St. Joseph Regional School
Everyone in our school community helps one another and truly cares about each person as an individual. We have a nurturing environment along with strong academics to educate each child.
Interests Outside of Teaching/Personal Life
When I’m not teaching, I enjoy spending time with my family. I also enjoy crafts, reading, and relaxing on the beach.
