Welcome To Art
Miss Ayala
Distance Learning
Grades 5-8
This ongoing lesson encompasses both Music AND Art classes. Learn about synesthesia and how it affects Billie Eilish and her brother Finneas. Continue thru the slide show. How do YOU see Music? Use materials you have at home to create at least 6 drawings/paintings to music on the playlist. Listen/draw to 2 pieces each week until May 15 when we get back to school. Share your piece with Ms. Ayala or Mrs. Healy via school e-mail and even follow the directions to share on the Teach Rock Face Book page, Twitter etc. Be sure to note the name of the musical composition at the bottom of each drawing or the back. Have fun!

To continue bringing new mediums to the students, this year we will work with fluorescent paints and oil pastels so we can include a black light glow gallery for the end of year art show.
Art Class is designed around Art Appreciation. This is done through the practical applications of creating art as well as the study of art history. During the year students will work with an assortment of mediums and include projects in painting, sculpture, and drawing. Students will be shown how to properly use all the tools necessary to complete a project, and are expected to use them appropriately and with safety in mind at all times.
To view some of the things we have worked on in past classes click into the Gallery.
